Special counsel Robert Mueller and his team have been in talks with Rudy Giuliani, with a recent revelation noting that the legal team will not indict Donald Trump.
CNN reports that the Mueller team can only write a report at the conclusion of the investigation. This report will be public and will outline all of the wrongdoings and corruption done by Donald Trump and his team. The House of Representatives will have a copy of this report, and it will be up to them to decide as to what they’ll do with the report – and whether they want to pursue impeachment.
Even though this may be a frustrating setback for those who want to see Trump indicted, it’s important to note that this decision is actually aligned with the Justice Department guidelines dating back all the way to the Nixon administration. This mandate notes that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Giuliani added that he believes that the Constitution prevents the investment of Trump, when in reality it is a set of policies enacted mere decades ago.
What Does This Mean?
The inability to indict Trump doesn’t mean that he is scotch free. Mueller and his team can issue a report making referrals or a set of recommendations to the House of Representatives. Also, this does not mean that the Trump family cannot be indicted either or that Trump will not be indicted for crimes after he leaves office at the end of his term – or in the case of impeachment.
BREAKING: Rudy Giuliani says Robert Mueller told him that he will not indict Trump while he is President.
This is disappointing but it is DOJ guidance. This doesn’t mean that Trump Family members won’t be indicted though, or that Trump won’t be indicted after he’s impeached.

It has been questioned whether if the investigators would be able to find criminal evidence against Trump, and subsequently have these guidelines changed.
The Mueller team has recently been reached for comment and they have been tight-lipped. Giuliani wants to use the one year anniversary of the investigation to conclude it.
