Donald Trump’s team is under more pressure than ever to defend their failing boss, and it’s clearly taking its toll and getting much harder.
For the past several weeks, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been spending her press briefings trying to dance around questions about Trump’s affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, who is now suing Trump as she claims the payment of $130,000.00 in hush money she received from the president’s attorney is invalid. While Huckabee Sanders is more than familiar with tactics to dodge answering critical questions, she had a pretty hard time today and almost lost it.
At today’s press briefing, NBC News’ Hallie Jackson forced the press secretary to talk about the conversations she’s had with Trump about his issues with Daniels. Jackson asked:
“You were asked about whether the president knew about this payment his long-time lawyer made to, rather facilitated, to Stormy Daniels. You said then, and again today, not that you’re aware of. Have you asked the president this question?”
You can almost feel the panic that came over Huckabee Sanders as she said:
“Yeah, I’ve had conversations with the president about this.”
Sanders then tried to shut the discussion down and move on, but not without revealing some very critical information:
“And as I outlined earlier, that this case had already been won in arbitration, and there was no knowledge of any payments from the president. And he has denied all these allegations.”
You can watch Huckabee Sanders squirm at about the 14-minute mark:

What Huckabee Sanders doesn’t realize is that by exposing Trump’s comments about his scandal, his claims are now in the public record. Huckabee Sanders did this without even realizing it, and this is going to really screw Trump over. Could Huckabee Sanders be the next to go?!
